Competition horses comprise much of Dan's regular business. He shoes competitive dressage horses, event horses, hunter/jumpers, barrel racers, endurance horses and some pleasure horses. He understands the specialized careers that each horse is trained to do, which is why he is able to produce a proper and balanced shoeing job to ensure the horse stays sound. With each horse he shoes he considers the types of terrain that the horses are worked on, their specific job, the way they move, their conformation and how to enhance their performance. This gives the horses Dan shoes a competitive edge.
